Dereje Fekadu (PhD Candidate) is an accomplished economist and strategist with extensive experience in government leadership and policy. He holds an MSc in Economics from Mekelle University, has completed the Oxford Executive Leadership Program at the University of Oxford, and is currently pursuing a PhD at Addis Ababa University. He has served in key governmental roles, including as Commissioner at the Plan and Development Commission and Chief of Staff at the Mayor’s Special Office. Currently, he is a senior adviser at a government ministerial office and a lecturer at Addis Ababa University. His expertise spans organizational leadership, business strategy, public policy, governance, and banking. At Universal Trade Forum and Events PLC, he is contributing his extensive knowledge in business and economics and serving as an advisor on government policy, regulation, and economic affairs, playing a crucial role in shaping the Asia-Africa Expo and Trade Fair 2025/26.
