Board ChairmanDereje Fekadu (PhD Candidate) is an accomplished economist and strategist with extensive experience in government leadership and policy. He holds an MSc in Economics from Mekelle University, has completed the Oxford Executive Leadership Program at the University of Oxford, and is currently pursuing a PhD at Addis Ababa University. He has served in key governmental roles, including as Commissioner at the Plan and Development Commission and Chief of Staff at the Mayor’s Special Office. Currently, he is a senior adviser at a government ministerial office and a lecturer at Addis Ababa University. His expertise spans organizational leadership, business strategy, public policy, governance, and banking. At Universal Trade Forum and Events PLC, he is contributing his extensive knowledge in business and economics and serving as an advisor on government policy, regulation, and economic affairs, playing a crucial role in shaping the Asia-Africa Expo and Trade Fair 2025/26.

Elias is the founder of Elyas Management Consulting, a trusted advisory firm providing high-level consulting services to businesses, government entities, and international organizations. He currently serves as the Chief Finance Officer of the Africa-Asia Business Expo and Trade Fair, where he plays a pivotal role in financial strategy, partnership structuring, and capital mobilization for one of the continent’s most ambitious trade events.
He holds an MSc in Finance and an MBA from Addis Ababa University, combining deep technical expertise with a strategic management outlook.

He holds an MSc in Agricultural Economics from Haramaya University and is currently pursuing an MA in Project Management from Civil Service University. As the Managing Director of Zenith Consult and an associate consultant at the Ethiopian Management Institute, Wubeshet has led numerous feasibility studies, organizational assessments, and performance evaluations, particularly in the healthcare and manufacturing sectors.
His consultancy work spans a wide range of services, including developing business plans for import-export businesses and services, as well as conducting data analysis and evaluations. With certifications in project management, MEAL essentials, and green innovation, Wubeshet is highly skilled in driving innovation and growth. He has worked with organizations of all sizes, from small businesses to large enterprises, and has a deep understanding of the economic challenges and opportunities businesses face today. Getachew holds an MSc in Radiation and Environmental Protection and has participated in numerous professional training programs. He is the Head of the Macroeconomic Policy Center at PSI, a senior researcher, and a lecturer in public service universities, contributing to Ethiopia’s financial sector reforms. As a member of Ethiopia’s National Macroeconomic Think Tank Team, he plays a key role in shaping economic policies. Additionally, he is part of the WTO Trade Negotiation Team, working on Ethiopia’s accession and trade policy alignment. Tewolde's research focuses on exchange rate liberalization, capital market development, trade policy, and financial sector reforms. He has led studies on the effects of exchange rate changes on Ethiopia’s banking sector, digital credit markets, small-scale cross-border trade, and informal sector pension policies. His work integrates empirical analysis and policy recommendations, supporting evidence-based decision-making. He has provided consultancy for major institutions, including the National Bank of Ethiopia, the Capital Market Authority, FAO, and ILO.
